Data ethics principles
Asya does not store any recordings of mindful conversations. Your mindful conversations are automatically deleted after each session unless you want to use them to improve your personal artificial intelligence tracking accuracy.
None of the mindful conversations are transcribed into text. Asya artificial intelligence uses biometric features from the user's voice and therefore doesn't need to use text-based recognition.
Asya is focused on giving the user a unique value of conversational insights. Our business model is focused purely on membership subscription. Unlike other companies, we do not collect data for advertising purposes. We don't store mindful conversation recordings and we will never sell any data or try to profit from it.
Who is Asya?
The App is maintained by SIA Asya, a company registered in Latvia under the registry code: 40203171916 (hereinafter, the “Asya”).
When does Asya collect my data?
Asya receives your personal data through your interaction with the App, but only when you provide it willingly.
What information will I need to provide?
You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information (“personal data”) about yourself when you register to become part of the Asya community, by providing your name and email address. You may also need to provide your voice recordings, if you chose to use the App and all its features. No matter what data you provide, we have worked tirelessly to minimize any risks:

None of the audio data is transcribed or in other words text based. Asya Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) uses biometric features and doesn't need to transcribe speech to a format “readable” by a human.
Your name will be hidden and each user shall receive an encrypted ID number for any future references to a specific device or user. Your identity will be protected.
Our business is based on giving you unique value from conversational insights. We will never sell, give away or do anything unethical or unlawful with any data you provide.
You can manually delete your data or choose to delete it automatically after a certain time.
Will any information be collected automatically?
We collect data automatically only when you use the App. Recordings of your voice are initiated only when you decide turn on the feature, the App will not record any practice sessions if you haven’t knowingly requested it.
Where are the recordings and other data stored?
The recordings and other data are safely stored on Asya servers, the location of which is classified for safety reasons. You can choose to delete any recordings at any time or to save them for further analysis.
What are the purposes and legal basis of data processing?
We process personal data for the purposes of the Asya project, namely:
A – for the organisation, management and functioning of Asya, App and our website;
B – for improvement of Asya AI;
C – in order for you to receive the benefits provided by the App.
The provision of your personal data is voluntary, i.e. any data will be processed only if you allow it. Please note that any refusal to provide data may hinder correct use of the App and restrict some of its features.
Will my e-mail address be used to send me newsletters?
Asya offers the possibility to request a subscription to our newsletter so you can be kept up to date with Asya news and results, but this is not mandatory.
How can I unsubscribe from the enterprise newsletter?
Should you wish to unsubscribe from any of our newsletters, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of our newsletters, or use our contact details below.
Who will have access to my data?
We will not share any data you provided with any third parties. Your Data will be stored on Asya servers, safe from any outside interference.

Will my data be transferred outside of EU?
Your personal data will not be transferred outside European Union.
Is the information I provide secure?
Pursuant to Article 25 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, which are designed to implement data-protection principles, such as data minimisation, in an effective manner and to integrate the necessary safeguards into the processing in order to meet the requirements of the Regulation and protect your rights. Furthermore, according to Article 32 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk and safeguard personal data in our possession against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, theft, alteration or unauthorised use or disclosure.
no data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect the information we maintain, we cannot ensure or warrant 100% security of any information that you transmit to us.
All transactions are processed through trusted third-parties, i.e. today Apple Computer’s App Store and Google Play.
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
We only provide articles, information, and speech analysis.
We do not use Malware Scanning.
How long will my data be stored?
Your personal data will be kept for no longer than is necessary for the specific purposes for which the personal data are processed. More precisely, personal data is kept as long as follow-up actions are necessary with regard to the purpose(s) of the processing of personal data. You can always choose to delete your data.

Exercise of users’ data protection rights
You may contact us, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, in order to assert your rights, as described in Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679, namely to demand: the confirmation of the existence of data concerning yourself and their origin and processing and the purposes thereof; the erasure (Article 17) or the rectification of data (Article 16); the restriction of processing (Article 18); the right to object (Article 22) and the right to data portability (Article 20).
We ask you to contact us beforehand, but we also inform you that you have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent data protection authority, pursuant to Article 77 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679, if you believe that your personal data have been processed in violation of any applicable law concerning data protection.
Your rights and safety of any data you provide are of utmost importance to us.
